"Steel creates incredibly infectious soundscapes topped with witty lyrics that'll always leave you wanting more" Happy Mag
Libby Steel, winner of the Triple J unearthed Queenscliff music festival competition, is an Australian alternative pop singer-songwriter. The Surf Coast rocket is known for her signature witty lyrics and bold colourful music. Whilst early in her career, she has been on the lineup of some of Australia's biggest festivals, including Falls Festival and St Kilda Festivals New Music Stage.
Her music has captured the attention of Triple J & Unearthed where she has received stellar coverage and reviews from presenters praising her ‘big and versatile voice in a clever pop song".
Steel’s love for music began as a child where she lived in the small rural town of Cobden. She grew up gigging around the area and has always stayed close to her roots. After the 2018 St Patricks fires that burnt through her hometown, she organized the Bushfire relief festival, raising $15,000 for those affected.
Libby Steel has woven her way into the music scene, taking her strong soulful voice and explosive live set across the country.
